Media Personality Mwende Macharia Exits Standard Media Group
The Radio Maisha and Standard Media Group really have no more hype as Kenyan media personality Mwende Macharia officially says goodbye forever.
In an emotional post on social media, Mwende thanked the Standard Media Group for giving her a chance to grow and build her career as well as brand over time.
She thanked her followers and fans for their unwavering support till the very end in her message. My experience at Radio Maisha and the Standard Media Group has come to an end effective immediately,” she said. Thank you Standard Group management, thank you for enabling me make my career and name bigger over a period of 14 years. Most of all, my thanks to the loyal fans who support me unheard and unseen daily by keeping the music alive.
The popular radio host also alluded to some “future fun” and urged fans, via social media on Monday night, that wherever she ends up they’ll hear from her. I am so excited to soon share with you guys where I will be next as life has some new and fun stuff in store. “Needless to say, I was already very excited,” she said.
This announcement follows major changes at the Standard Media Group, which last week announced that it was laying off 300 employees in an ongoing business restructuring exercise.
